Tell us a little bit about yourself...

I live on the central coast with my husband and two children where I work in  Product Development for a local Tech company. My husband and I also run a construction business together and have been for the last 9 years. Most of my childhood until the age of 18 was spent in St. Petersburg, Russia and Marbella, Spain. My mother being from California and my father from New York, moving overseas was a big change for our family but one that we embraced. My brother and I had the amazing opportunity to study Russian and Spanish which we took full advantage of and I am a firm believer that we should all learn another language.

You can find me out running most afternoons or at Headstrong Fitness, but if I am not doing either of those, you can find me sitting in front of my laptop with a VERY large cup of coffee!

How did you hear about Miss San Luis Obispo County?

I am fortunate enough to know Ruth, our Executive Director, personally. We were out to dinner when she mentioned the Miss San Luis Obispo County Organization. Right away I knew I had to be apart of it!

What made you want to get involved?

When I heard that Ruth Wickham was bringing back Miss San Luis Obispo County I jumped on the chance to be a part of it. I couldn’t think of a better way to give back to my community than to help provide scholarship opportunities to the young women of San Luis Obispo County. Having a young daughter myself I feel it is extremely important that we empower the young women of our community. Being a woman in the Tech industry I understand the need to make sure the young women of the next generation are provided with every opportunity we can give them.

What are you most excited about this coming year?

Seeing the impact that our organization will have on the education of so many young women right here in our own community that might not have had the opportunity before.

Any fun personal goals you have for Miss San Luis Obispo County?

Being a partner of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, I look forward to working with our contestants to setting our bar high for raising funds and awareness for all of the children who are sick and in need. I cannot wait to see the impact our community will make for them!
