*UPDATED 5/23/18*

The Miss San Luis Obispo County competition is what the Miss California Organization refers to as a "closed" or "structured" competition.  This means that our contestants must live*, work full time, or attend school full time** within a specific boundary.

Ladies ages 17 (and at least a Senior in high school) through 25 from throughout San Luis Obispo County are eligible to compete for the title of Miss San Luis Obispo County.  This includes the cities of San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Arroyo Grande, Atascadero, Avila Beach, Cambria, Cayucos, Creston, Edna, Grover Beach, Harmony, Los Osos, Morro Bay, Nipomo, Oceano, Pismo Beach, Pozo, Santa Margarita, San Miguel, San Simeon, Shandon, and Templeton. We also accept ladies from Santa Maria.

Additionally, full time students at any accredited college within San Luis Obispo County are eligible.  Such institutions include (but are not limited to) Cuesta College, Allan Hancock College, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

*Must show proof of residence dating six months prior to Miss San Luis Obispo County Competition
**Full time is calculated as 12 credit hours. Contestants competing as full-time students must have completed at least one semester or two quarters prior to the Miss San Luis Obispo County competition.
